This fight recently happened in Holland. We can see how calm this Judo guy is and that’s for sure something you get when you’re training martial arts. He didn’t panic even after he got slapped and when his opponent came closer he took him down very easily.
This is a nice “preview” of Grappling Martial Arts. But, from the self-defense BJJ perspective, we can say that this Judo guy didn’t keep the distance as he should.
What would you do? Would you react before or immediately after you’re slapped? Would you keep the distance better? Too many questions there but it’s really hard to act in these situations especially if you’ve never been there before.
